Rules and Regulations:

1. Participation will be on an individual basis.
2. A multi-layered debate competition, starting with turncoats and ending in a one vs one debate tournament, it's bound it be filled.
3. The initial round of the debate will be a turncoat style, where speakers will be presented with motions on the spot.
4. Based on the preliminary results, 8 participants will be selected and advance to the knockout stages which will be conventional debating rounds, topics for which will be given on the spot.
5. In the knockout stages, 8 shortlisted participants will be paired into teams of two, with one member speaking for and the other against the topic, which will be given on the spot.

ROUND 1

Rules for Turncoat round(Prelim Round) are:-

• Each speaker will be given a total of 4 minutes to prepare
• In the knock-out stage, speakers will have to deliver a 2-minute speech in favor of the motion and another 2-minute speech against it.
• Use of unethical or abusive language will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
• The verdict of the judges will be deemed conclusive and final.
• Both Hindi and English Speakers are allowed.

ROUND 2

Rules for conventional debate rounds(Knock-out stages) are:-

• Each speaker will be assigned a stance on the motion (for or against).
• Each participant will have 2 minutes to present their side.
• Participants will be given 5 minutes to prepare.
• Going over the time limit will result in negative points.
• Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
• Participants must stick to their assigned stance, changing it will lead to disqualification
• 1 Interjection per speech will be allowed (15 seconds for interjection and 45 seconds to reply or rebuttal).
• The verdict of the judges will be deemed conclusive and final.
• Both Hindi and English Speakers are allowed.

BUZZER- THE Quizzing Society of PGDAV college (M) presents- MIND-BUSTERS - The General Quiz as a part of AAROHAN'23, The annual cultural fest of PGDAV college.

1. No registration fees required .
2. Team of two or lonewolves are allowed.
3. Cross college teams are allowed.
4. Open for all UG and PG students .
5. Quiz will consist of two rounds - prelims and final.
6. Top 8 teams from prelims will qualify for the final round.
7. Use of unfair means is strictly prohibited.
8. Decision of QUIZ MASTER will be final and binding.

Rules and Regulations:

The shipwreck event is just as fun as it sounds you are on a sinking boat. The captain has a lifeboat which has a spot of just three persons. Convince the captain why you deserve to be on the ship and be brutal, dank, and witty enough to destroy others' attempts at mockery.

1. Participants will be given a famous personality 24 hrs before the event.
2. Participants will have to deliver a speech of 1 minute (Max deviation of 15 seconds)
3. First 30 seconds to save themselves
4. Next 30 seconds to Diss the other personalities
5. The decision of the captain (judges) will be final

Judging Criteria:

1. Content- 50%
2. Language and presentation- 30%
3. Overall impact- 20%

Rules and Regulations:

1. The participants must recite a piece of poetry, that can be based on any theme.
2. The poetry submitted and presented should be original work of art. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and if found, it will lead to direct disqualification.
3. Use of vulgar, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, disturbing, violent, offensive, obscene, profane, and inappropriate language will lead to disqualification.
4. The pieces can be in English and Hindi. Bilingual pieces are not allowed.
5. The participants are allowed to only recite the pieces that they have submitted here. Please ensure that the pieces are free of grammatical errors and mistakes.
6. The participants will be given the time of 5 minutes to recite their work, and this time also includes the time when they will introduce themselves and the theme of the poetry.
7. Please submit your entries here in a Pdf/word file only. The pieces submitted in Hindi should be in the Devanagari script only. A mix of languages is not permitted.
8. Judgment will be based on how well the theme is used, clarity in recitation, originality, and expression.
