Rules and Regulations:
General Guidelines:
- This is a solo singing competition with 2 rounds - Prelims and Finale.
- The event is open to both UG and PG students from all over India. Max age limit is 23
years, as
of 31st January 2023.
- Only 4 registrations are allowed from each college in Prelims. In case of more than 4
registrations, they will be chosen on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Only 2 registrations will be allowed from each college in Finale. They will be selected
on the
basis of the points marks provided by the judge(s).
- Participants/accompanists must carry their college ID cards.
- The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
Performance Guidelines:
- For prelims, the participants will have to submit their recorded performance along with
their
registrations on Google Form.
- The time limit for the prelim submission is 4 minutes.
- Only ghazals, folk, Sufi, and semi-classical songs or compositions are allowed.
- Backing tracks, karaoke, and accompanying instruments are allowed. The participants can
play
the accompanying instrument or ask a friend for live accompaniment. A maximum of one
accompanist is allowed in the case of live instrument accompaniment.
- The audio of the uploaded video should be clear with no noise or disturbances in the
background. If the committee identifies any kind of manipulation with the audio and/or
video, the
entry will be disqualified without any notice or negotiation.

- The event is open to both UG and PG students from all over India. Max age limit for the
participants is 23 years, as of 31st March 2022.
- A team can have a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 vocalists along with a maximum of 3
accompanists on three different instruments.
- A team member who will sing and play an instrument will be considered a vocalist and
accompanist.
- Only Indian Classical compositions are allowed.
- The details of the finale will be shared only with the selected teams.
- The decision of judges shall be considered final and binding.
Performance Guidelines:
- For prelims, the teams will have to submit their recorded performance along with their
registrations on Google Form.
- The time limit for the prelim submission is 10 minutes.

Rules and Regulations:
- Two rounds will be held . Both being showcase rounds.
- The maximum length of the track will be 2:30 minutes.
- Out of round 1 , top 8 will be selected for the final round and the winners will then
be
selected.
- No plagiarism, songs related with sensitive or irrelevant topics like targeting girls,
politics, gender, empowerment or containing explicit and vulgar words will not be
allowed.
That will result in direct disqualification.
- Backing vocals are not allowed. It should be backing tracks .
- The decision of the judge will be final and irreversible.

- 2 rounds will be held. One will be showcase of 2 mins and other will be a face off
giving
2 chances of 1 min to each.
- On the basis of first round top 8 will be selected for battle i.e. second and final
round
of the competition.
- Repitations of things in rounds will result in negative markings.

Rules for Prelims (Online):
- Backing tracks/instrumentals are allowed.
- Accompanists and accompanying instruments are not allowed.
- The maximum duration of the performance is 4 minutes.
- The video should be completely raw and unedited, with no special effects or edits. Doing
this will lead to disqualification.
- The songs should be in English language (Western). Rap and explicit songs are not
allowed.
- Participants need to give a brief introduction of themselves in the beginning of the
video
before they start singing (name, college etc.) Failing to do this will lead to
disqualification.
- The deadline for the first round is 11th February 23, 11:59pm.
- The results will be announced on the official Instagram Handle of Conundrum
(conundrum_wms).
RULES FOR FINALS (Offline):
- The final round will be an offline event that will be held on the college campus.
- Backing tracks/instrumentals are not allowed.
- Maximum of ONE accompanist is allowed.
- Maximum duration of the performance is 6 minutes including the sound check and
introduction
of the participant.
- The performance will be judged on the basis of song selection, dynamics, pitch and
overall
impact.
- All participants must carry a valid identity card (Aadhar, PAN Card, Driving License,
etc.)
- Decision of the judges will be final and binding on all the participants.
- Final event will take place on 14th February, 2023.

Rules and Regulations:
RULES FOR PRELIMS (Online):
- The video should be a live performance. Recording the audio and video separately is not
allowed.
- The video of the performance should be submitted via the Google Form attached below.
- Number of members can range between 3-10.
- The video should not exceed 10 minutes.
- Use of any kind of effects is not allowed. The participants must submit the raw and
unmixed version of their recording.
- Only one submission per college is allowed.
- Original compositions will be given brownie points.
- Inter - College teams are allowed to participate.
- The deadline for submitting the video is 11th February’23 by 11:59 PM.
- The results will be announced on the official Instagram Handle of Conundrum
(conundrum_wms).
RULES FOR FINALS (Offline):
- The finals will be held in the main campus of the college.
- The shortlisted teams will be informed via WhatsApp and personal call.
- The bands will be given a total stage time of 30 minutes (including the sound check).
Exceeding the time limit will lead to deduction in points.
- The contestants must bring their own instruments, and they are solely responsible for the
safety of their equipment.
- The participants should reach the venue 60 minutes before the event begins. 6. The event
timings would be informed well in advance.
- All participants must carry a valid identity card (Aadhar, PAN Card, Driving License,
etc.)
- The judging criteria include the following parameters: creativity/originality, tightness,
technicality, and overall impact. The decision made by the judges is final and binding.
- Further rules will be communicated to the shortlisted participants.
